Our Pastor

Steve was born and raised into a Pastor’s home in Perth Amboy, NJ, where he learned a great deal of the ministry by watching his father who Pastored for more than 40 years. Even though he heard the Gospel preached week after week, it wasn’t until he was 18 years old that he finally accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Then, as a sophomore at Tennessee Temple University, Steve answered God’s call on his life into the ministry and completed his B.S. in Bible.

Since graduating from Bible college, Steve has served as Assistant Pastor and Youth Pastor in three different churches. God has used him for more than 20 years serving in these roles. Alongside him has been his wife, Lisa, who he met while at Tennessee Temple. They have three children who have also been a great part of his ministry. 

In 2025, Steve answered God’s call to Pastor Open Door Baptist Church where he looks forward to seeing what only God can do in the years to come.
