What We Believe

What We Believe

Articles of Faith

We believe the King James Version of the Holy Bible to be the only infallible, inspired, authoritative Word of God. We believe in the verbal inspiration, integrity, sole sufficiency, and authority of the Scriptures. We believe that the KJV Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the only way of salvation, and God's plan and purpose for mankind. We believe it to be the all-sufficient authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living. We therefore use the King James Version of the Holy Bible for the purposes of preaching, teaching, and scripture memorization. (Matt 5:17, 18; John 17:17; II Tim 3:15-17; II Pet 1:20,21)

We believe in the Godhead Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; One God, eternally existent in three persons, who created man by a direct and immediate act. (Deut 6:4; Matt 3:16-17; Matt 28:19; Luke 3:21-22; II Cor 13:14; I Tim 1:17)

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, his pre-existence, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless life, vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, bodily resurrection, and His ascension to Heaven. We believe in the imminent, pre-millennial, and physical return of our Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory to catch away His bride, the true Church, to meet Him in the air. (Matt 1:23, 24:30; Mark 16:9; John 1:1; Acts 2: 22, 23; Rom 8:34; I Cor 15:4; II Cor 5:21; Gal 4:4; Heb 4:15, Col 2:9,13,14; I Pet 3:18; I John 1:7; Matt 24:30; Acts 1:11; I Thes 4:13-18)

We believe that baptism is by immersion and the Lord's Supper is a memorial to His suffering and death on the cross. These are ordinances to be observed by the church in its present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as means for man's salvation. (Matt 3:13-17; I Cor 11:24-25)

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ. All men are justified in God's sight by faith alone and are accounted righteous before Him only through the merit of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (Rom 3:21-26; Eph 2:8,9; Tit 3:4-7; I Pet 3:18; I John 1:8-2:2)

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost. (John 5:21-29; I Cor 15:20-26; I John 5:10-12; Rev 20:11-15)

We believe in the spiritual relationship of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, living a life that is Christ-like, separated from the world, and witnessing of His saving grace. (John 17:20-23; Eph 2:12-22; Acts 5: 3,4; Rom 8:9-14, Gal 5: 16-25; Acts 1:8; Matt 10:19,20; John 14:26, 15:26,27)

We believe that God has established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman. We believe that all eminent sexual activity outside of the marriage relationship, whether homosexual, heterosexual, including but not limited to fornication, adultery, incest, pedophilia, polyamory, bestiality, lewd conduct, transgender behavior, or otherwise, is immoral and inconsistent with the teaching of the Bible and the church. We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt any gender other than one's birth gender is immoral and therefore sin. In order to maintain our consistent Christian witness, we cannot sanction, approve, affirm, or promote, in any way, any of the aforementioned lifestyles or behaviors. (Gen 1: 27; Gen 2:24-25; Ex 20:14,17; 22:19; Lev 18:22-23; 20:13, 15-16; Deut 22:5; Matt 19:4-6, 9; Rom 1: 18-31; I Cor 6: 9-10, 15-20; I Tim 1:8-11; Jude 7)

We believe in the autonomy of the local church. The church shall manage its own affairs and shall not be subject to any other religious body or organization. (I Peter 5:1-3)
